Intel announch that will introduce two new chipsets in the third quarter 2007, the chipsets are Intel G31 and P31. This chipset will replace the mainstream chipsets Intel 945G and 946GZ/PL.

The next chipset, Intel G31 and P31 will support Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad. These new chipsets will be compatible with the FSB 1066 and 1333 MHz, memory supporting up to DDR2 800 (maximum 8GB). INTEL G31 and P31 have one PCI Express 16x and will be associated with southbridge ICH7. The INTEL G31 will be integrated with graphic controller INTEL GMA 3100.
INTEL G31 and P31 from INTEL will be greatz for the low entry - mainstream level with new technology but no much money spent for the motherboard. The prices will be under $100
