New Intel Core 2 Duo E6540 with FSB 1333MHz
The next upcoming Intel 1333MHz FSB based processors, Intel Core 2 Duo E6540 thatl will release the new versions of the Conroe based processors nearly.
The Intel Core 2 Duo E6540 clock in at 2.33GHz with 7 multiplier, 4MB L2 cache and dual core cpu. Intel Core 2 Duo E6540 will put on entry level processor after Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 and E6750.
Intel Core 2 Duo E6540 come with the new technology that call Intel Trust Execution Technology (TXT), and what is Intel Trust Execution Technology?
“Intel Trusted Execution Technology for safer computing, formerly code named LaGrande Technology, is a versatile set of hardware extensions to Intel Processor and chipsets that enchance such as measured launch and protected execution. Intel Trusted Execution Technology provides hardware base mechanisms that help protect againts software base attacks and protects the confidentialy and integrity of data stored or created on the client PC. It does this by enabling an environment where applications can run within their own space, protected from all other software on the system. These capabilities provide the protection mechanisms, rooted in hardware that are necessary to provide trust in the application’s executions environment. In turn, this can help to protect vital data and processes from being compromised by malicious software running on the platform”
Here’s some pictures test of Intel Core 2 Duo E6540 ES
Conclusion:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6540 will replace the entry level E4300, E6300. With 4MB L2 cache and prices maybe under $150 will good for replacing the 2MB L2 cache. But for Overclocking i think very hard to get the 100% overclocking. With 333 FSB, to get 100% overclocking must reach 666 FSB…. Anyone can reach the 100% soon??
